In the Spring of 2021, we proudly partnered with Mountainside Montessori to host our flagship Fare Harvest community and learning garden. Our vision is to grow our living laboratories into a nationwide network that provides immersive garden-based learning with limitless benefit, access to hyper-local nourishment, and connection to nature sanctuaries to enrich the lives of children, their families, and our communities.

We have enjoyed working with Nadia and RIE to host a Fare Harvest Garden. Not only is this experience beneficial for our students, to see the garden develop and the vegetables and flowers grow, but their ability to participate in the planting and care of the garden teaches them many valuable skills. As a service-minded school, we are also excited that our garden serves the community. We encourage families to come out and pick vegetables, herbs, and even sunflowers

What an amazing opportunity to partner with Rooted in Education to host a Fare Harvest garden! Not only did the children learn how fresh food is produced, but they also experienced the sense of pride in the foods they have created and shared with our local food bank. The garden also provided the opportunity for children to enhance their studies of plant science, weather, nature as well as simply enjoying the outdoors and getting their hands in the dirt. It is a wonderful program and really should be available to all children.
